Atalia A. Garcia is the founder of the Dallas-based law firm Garcia Legal Group, P.C. Licensed to practice in Texas since 2010, in her thirteen years of experience as an attorney she has handled a wide range of legal matters such as personal injury, immigration law, real estate and family law. At Garcia Legal Group, P.C., our attorneys have set out to create a law firm that not only serves its clients, but also the community in which we work and live as well. The firm is engaged in the general practice of law. Atalia values customer service and appreciates and enjoys the problem-solving aspects of her practice.

Born in Mesquite, Texas and raised in the community of Pleasant Grove, Atalia understands the meaning of sacrifice and dedication. As a first-generation college graduate of immigrant Mexican parents, she was taught the importance of hard work at a very early age. After graduating from H. Grady Spruce High School, she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Baker College. Completing her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Baker College, Ms. Williams pursued her MBA at the Texas Woman’s University. In 2009, she received her Doctorate in Jurisprudence from the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.

Qualified in business management and marketing, Ms. Garcia worked in management for several years until the completion of her law education. Soon after being licensed to practice law in 2010, she co-founded the firm Ramos & Garcia Law Firm, PLLC, where she functioned as an attorney and counselor at law. During these years, she additionally practiced commercial law, criminal defense and civil litigation.

All through the years of her professional career, Ms. Garcia has gained valuable experience as a defense and plaintiffs’ counsel. She honed her writing skills by drafting pleadings and motion practice during this tenure. Trained in basic and family mediation, she also represents clients on a variety of cases before the state and federal courts.

Over the years, Ms. Garcia has been an adjunct professor and has taught students at Baker College and the American Business and Technology University. She imparted her knowledge in business law, personal injury and the proceedings of the judicial system.

With a passion for public service, Atalia recently decided to take her commitment to the next level by running for political office in her community. As a candidate for Justice of the Peace, Ms. Garcia put her legal expertise to work, crafting well-researched policies and advocating for the needs of her constituents. She campaigned tirelessly, attending community events, knocking on doors, and engaging with voters one-on-one to hear their concerns and share her vision for the future of their Justice of the Peace courtroom. Despite her tireless efforts, however, Ms. Garcia ultimately fell short in the election, losing by less than 100 votes. While disappointed with the result, she remains committed to the principles that motivated her campaign, and she is proud of the progress she made in advancing the issues that matter most to her community.

Ms. Garcia is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the U.S. Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court. She has also been a licensed Texas Real Estate Agent for over a decade.

Atalia is a supporter of providing legal services to the underserved and has volunteered at many different community events . She is Chair-Elect of the Southeast Dallas Chamber of Commerce and sits on their Executive Committee, as well as a member of many professional associations.
