News: Texas state trooper struck by vehicle while investigating crash on I-45
Authorities said the accident happened after the trooper responded to a crash scene on Interstate 45 in Navarro County.
NAVARRO COUNTY, TX - An accident in Navarro County Tuesday sent a Texas state trooper to the hospital, according to the Texas Department of Safety for the North Texas region.
NBC DFW reports the incident occurred along Interstate 45, where the trooper was at the scene investigating a previous accident. Family members quoted in the report said the trooper was getting ice boots from his vehicle when he was struck by another driver and pinned under his vehicle. The trooper, who is married with three young children, was listed in serious condition after being transported to a Dallas hospital.
