News: 1 dead, 2 injured after DART bus collides with truck at intersection
The crash happened Saturday night in the area of Lawnview Avenue and Scyene Road.
DALLAS, TX - One person was killed in a collision involving a Dallas Area Rapid Transit bus on Saturday night, reports CBS DFW.
Authorities said the accident happened in the area of Lawnview Avenue and Scyene Road, where the DART bus and a truck crashed at about 9 p.m. There was no word on what led to the crash.
Dallas Fire Rescue crews arrived at the scene after being notified via 911. Firefighters extricated a person in the truck who was then pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers on the bus were hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The firefighters put out a grass fire that was caused when the accident knocked down power lines.
