News: Driver killed when vehicle crashes into pole in Haltom City
The accident happened early Sunday morning on Northeast Loop 820.
HALTOM CITY, TX - Police in Haltom City responded to a fatal single-vehicle accident that happened early Sunday morning.
In a Facebook post, police said the crash took place in the 5600 block of Northeast Loop 820 eastbound. Officers who arrived at the scene at about 3:42 a.m. found that a white Chrysler PT cruiser had veered off the roadway between the main and toll road lanes.
The vehicle crashed into a light pole and caused a fire. The driver was not able to escape and first responders were unable to rescue the person. Crime scene personnel were at the scene as part of the investigation, which is ongoing.
