News: 2 killed, 1 injured when pickup slams into car in Fort Worth suburb

The accident happened Wednesday night on River Oaks Boulevard near Jacksboro Highway.

FORT WORTH, TX - A car wreck in a Fort Worth suburb Wednesday night left two people dead and at least two others hospitalized, according to a report by NBC DFW.


The crash took place on River Oaks Boulevard near Jacksboro Highway at about 9 p.m., and reportedly two pickup trucks that were racing.


Police said one of the pickups slammed into a car and killed the driver, a 37-year-old woman, along with a passenger, a 17-year-old girl.  Another passenger, a 20-year-old man, was listed in critical condition.


The victims had just left a restaurant where they had picked up the 20-year-old at the time they were struck.  Surveillance video from the restaurant showed the vehicles racing.  One of the pickup drivers was hospitalized.

The crash remains under investigation by River Oaks police.
