News: 5-year-old girl hit by DART train at Plano station

The accident happened Thursday morning at DART’s Parker Road Station.

PLANO, TX - A child was injured in a railroad accident at a station in Plano last week, according to a report by KDFW.


The incident took place at Dallas Area Rapid Transit's Parker Road Station.  It was reported that a 5-year-old girl ran into the right-of-way of an approaching Orange Line train at about 11:30 a.m. 


The girl was struck by the DART train and was taken to Children's Hospital in Dallas for treatment of her injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening.
