News: Driver killed when car crashes, catches fire in West Dallas

The accident happened on Wycliff Avenue near Irving Boulevard early Friday morning. 

DALLAS, TX - Police said a high-speed car accident in West Dallas left a driver dead, KDFW reports.   The crash occurred on Wycliff Avenue near Irving Boulevard early Friday morning.


According to investigators, a driver who was speeding on Wycliff Avenue lost control of the vehicle and collided with a utility pole.  The vehicle then crashed into a business and caught fire.


Firefighters who responded to the scene extinguished the fire and found the victim dead in the vehicle.  No other injuries were reported. The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
