News: Pickup driver under arrest for fatal accident on Spur 408 in Dallas
The accident happened Friday evening along southbound Spur 408 near Kiest in southwest Dallas.
DALLAS, TX - Police made an arrest after a passenger in a car was killed in a crash in southwest Dallas Friday evening, according to the Irving Weekly.
Police and rescue units were dispatched to the scene on southbound Spur 408 near Kiest Boulevard at about 6 p.m. Dallas police investigators determined that the driver of a pickup truck drifted onto the shoulder of the roadway and crashed into the back of a sedan that was parked on the side of 408. A passenger in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was arrested following the wreck. The charges were not immediately disclosed. The southbound lanes of Spur 408 were shut down for the accident investigation.
