News: Vehicle involved in fatal collision with 18-wheeler in Garland

GARLAND, TX - Garland police and rescue squads were at the scene of a deadly collision on Interstate 30 early Saturday morning.

According to the Irving Weekly, a vehicle crashed into the back of an 18-wheeler in the eastbound lanes of I-30 near Zion Road shortly before 3 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle was declared dead at the scene.  No other injuries were reported.

Lanes of I-30 were shut down for about five hours for the crash investigation, which is ongoing
