News: Woman hospitalized after being hit by train in Fort Worth

The pedestrian was struck early Wednesday in the area of West Seminary Drive and Hemphill Street.

FORT WORTH, TX - A pedestrian was hospitalized following a railroad accident in south Fort Worth early Wednesday, reports the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.


Police and rescue crews responded to the scene after being notified that a pedestrian had been hit by a train in the area of West Seminary Drive and Hemphill Street shortly before 4:30 a.m.  The pedestrian, a woman, was struck while walking on the tracks and was found on the north side of the Seminary Street bridge.


The victim, whose name was not released, was rushed to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth where she was listed in critical condition.
