News: Woman sentenced for DWI crash that killed TCU Assistant Dean

37-year-old Cristen Hamilton will spend seven years behind bars for the fatal 2019 accident.

FORT WORTH, TX - A woman who pleaded guilty to drunk driving charges in connection with a fatal accident in Tarrant County has been sentenced to prison.


According to a report by CBS DFW, 37-year-old Cristen Danielle Hamilton was sentenced to seven years behind bars for the March 20, 2019 crash that killed TCU Assistant Dean Dr. Jamie Dulle.


The accident happened on Rosedale Street near Forest Park Boulevard in Fort Worth at about 3:30 a.m.  Police said Dulle, 41, was driving west on Rosedale Street when her vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Hamilton.  Dulle was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital.


Hamilton, a former medical student, pleaded to intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and pleaded true to the deadly weapon finding.  She must serve at least half the sentence in prison before becoming eligible for parole.
