News: Man killed in crash while racing on highway in Richardson

The accident happened in the eastbound lanes of President George Bush Turnpike near Independence Parkway 

RICHARDSON, TX - Police said a driver was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Richardson on Saturday afternoon.


According to KDFW, the victim was racing another vehicle in the eastbound lanes of President George Bush Turnpike at about 4 p.m. He lost control of his car near Independence Parkway and crashed into a metal guardrail.


The victim, identified as 29-year-old Trey Bradshaw of Holland, was pronounced dead at the scene.  No other injuries were reported.


The Texas Department of Public Safety is continuing its investigation into the cause of the wreck.
