News: Alleged drunk driver involved in collision along I-30 in Fort Worth

The driver was being chased by Fort Worth police and crashed at I-30 and University Boulevard.

FORT WORTH, TX - Authorities said a driver being being pursued by police in Fort Worth Wednesday collided with another vehicle.


The Tarrant County Sheriff's Office told KDFW that the crash took place in the area of Interstate 30 and University Boulevard following a chase that began shortly after 4:30 p.m.


The sheriff's office said a suspected drunk driver trying to elude police sideswiped a pickup truck, then went through a guardrail on the highway ramp.


A passenger in the pickup truck sustained minor injuries.   There were no injuries to the pickup driver and the suspect, who was taken into custody after the accident.
