News: Crash involving motorcyclist on Interstate 30 in Fort Worth leaves 2 dead
A motorcycle and a sedan were involved in the crash Saturday morning in the westbound lanes at West Freeway and Alta Mere Drive.
FORT WORTH, TX - An accident in Fort Worth early Saturday morning claimed the lives of a man and a woman, reports NBC DFW.
Police responded to Interstate 30 in the area of West Freeway and Alta Mere Drive after being notified of the incident. Investigators determined that a man riding a motorcycle in the westbound lanes of West Freeway crashed into a black sedan that was stopped in either the west lanes of the roadway or the shoulder.
The impact caused the motorcyclist to be ejected from the bike. A woman who had been standing outside the sedan was also hit. The motorcycle rider and the woman were then struck by passing vehicles, according to police. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives with the Fort Worth police traffic investigation unit are conducting an investigation into the fatal accident.
