News: Driver leaves scene of fatal pedestrian accident in Dallas

The victim was hit by a vehicle early Saturday morning near Forest Lane and Audelia Road.

DALLAS, TX - Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that killed a pedestrian in Dallas early Saturday morning.


KDFW reports a man was walking near Forest Lane and Audelia Road when the incident took place at about 12:30 a.m.  As the man walked on the edge of the road on Forest Lane, he was hit by a speeding vehicle heading westbound.


The pedestrian, whose identity was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.  Police said the driver involved kept going after the crash without stopping to help, and is now being sought.


Investigators are trying to obtain surveillance video of the incident and the vehicle, which is believed to have been significantly damaged in the incident.
