News: Multi-vehicle wreck on I-35 south leaves 1 dead, 2 injured

Five vehicles were involved in the collision that took place near Harry Hines Boulevard Sunday morning.

DALLAS, TX - One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash in Dallas early Sunday morning that involved an alleged drunk driver, KDFW reports.


The Dallas County Sheriff's Office said the wreck took place on Interstate 35 south near Harry Hines Boulevard at about 3 a.m., and involved at least five vehicles.  They included a Ford F-350 that crashed into a Honda.


Three people were transported to area hospitals, with one of the victims suffering fatal injuries.  The driver of the Ford was arrested on a charge of intoxicated manslaughter.


Authorities closed several southbound lanes on I-35 following the crash, snarling traffic through the area.
